OUR PARTNERS

Individual businesses, consortiums composed of similar types of businesses, state
agencies, United Way agencies, and other groups contract with The Newark Campus
Business & Industry Institute for customized, contract training. In addition, Open Enrollment/Public
Offering Courses are offered throughout the year to provide targeted Certificate Programs which include:

• Office Software Certificate
• Real Estate Pre-Licensing Certificate
• SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) Learning Systems Certificate

Other opportunities for partnerships include programmed training seminars with the BWC
(Bureau of Workers’ Compensation), State Dept. of OSHA, and the SBDC
(Small Business Development Council). Programs are offered throughout the year through
The Business and Industry Institute to provide updated training on compliance –related
requirements and seminars of interest to the small business owners.

The Director of The Newark Campus Business & Industry Institute works closely with
the Leadership Team of Central Ohio Technical College to deliver training programs,
which support the degree programs currently being offered, and to pilot training programs
which may be considered for future accreditation.
